Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatu,

Have you ever spent 9 days in a place working on your deen solely for the sake of Allah, and where your worst fear was to wrong Him in any way?  The past 9 days I just spend here at the camp have been so sweet and so beautiful, I was around such good people all similar to myself, and I felt I was home.

I urge you to forget the distractions of this world and come to the camp next year, so after finishing from it, we can help work with each other on ourselves.  I know perhaps you may think it unlikely, but the camp really can transform you.

Just by being around good, pious people will make you wake up to the reality that that’s the kind of person you want to become.  These are the kinds of friends you want to have and need to have in order to remain semi-sane in this world of materialism and problems.

Yesterday after dinner, the sisters were all walking back to the prayer area, when a brother started calling the adhan in such a nice, crisp voice.  The sisters all looked ahead across the lake to see the most beautiful sunset.  The sunset seemed to pull everyone in one by one, and caused everyone to stop and subhanallah.  The adhan was being said and the sun was being commanded by Allah (SWT) to drift slowly away so that we could bow down and pray to Him.  Alhamdulillah, thank You for the sunset. Alhamdulillah! Thank You for the trees.  Alhamdulillah!  Thank You for the wind.  And thank You for surrounding me with such good muslims.

And then we all bowed as one, just as the sun had done only a few moments ago.  Sitting in such a beautiful environment can really cause you to think about what matters and doesn’t matter in this world.  What matters only is working for Allah and attaining the Janna.

What makes me most happy about this camp is the hope that since we’ve all joined for the sake of Allah and we’ll now insha Allah part for His sake as well, that insha Allah, we will meet each other smiling on the Day of Judgement.

I want you to come to this camp and really experience the wonderful effect it can have on you.

Salaaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatu
