Sunday, April 5, 2009: Hundreds of children and their parents came out for a lively carnival and fundraiser at the ISBCC, Roxbury. Malik Academy’s Spring Carnival included, henna, face-painting, indoor and outdoor rides and a ladies’ fashion show.   There were games and prizes for children of all ages as well as vendors selling American and international food.

The goals of the event were to raise money for the Malik Academy/Al Bustan preschool in Cambridge, MA and to provide a fun-filled, family environment that would bring members of the Muslim community together with Roxbury area residents.

Malik Academy is a project of MAS Boston. Its goals are to help foster the moral and spiritual development of Muslims as well as promote their positive citizenship in society.
